Northamptonshire Enterprise Area Proposal

Northamptonshire Enterprise Partnership and Northamptonshire County Council are leading an Enterprise Area proposal with a primary focus of supporting the county’s burgeoning network of Innovation and Enterprise Centres and in so doing, creating new jobs and additional benefits.

This initiative will help to stimulate inward investment and support the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises and innovation activity, with a particular focus on high-growth and technology-led sectors.

Through the Northamptonshire Enterprise Area, launched in 2011, eligible businesses can apply for business rate rebates of up to £20k per annum (capped at 50% of their annual business rate bill).

A minimum of £300k is earmarked in 2011/12 which will go towards supporting at least 15 small and medium sized businesses to grow and create new jobs.
