Northamptonshire Enterprise Partnership works closely with the above institutions, as well as other county education providers, and the emerging University Technical Colleges to support the development of key sectors and encourage business involvement in influencing future vocational education and skills in the county.

A targeted campaign, working alongside the National Apprenticeship Service, to raise the profile of apprenticeships amongst young people forms Northamptonshire Enterprise Partnership’s response to the national shift towards encouraging a greater number of apprenticeships. 

Work experience is a key priority, helping to match the supply of labour to the availability of employment and reduce overall unemployment. Northamptonshire Enterprise Partnership works to add value to the Work Programme by matching new county investment with initiatives that will provide pre-employment training for the unemployed. Alongside community and voluntary organisations, the partnership will help support the hardest to reach and support them back into employment.
