The Northamptonshire Enterprise Partnership is tasked with creating more and better quality private sector jobs and wealth for the benefit of the county’s communities, businesses and visitors.
The county's future growth and prosperity will be led by the Northamptonshire Enterprise Partnership as a direct response to challenging economic conditions facing the county and the UK.
The Northamptonshire Enterprise Partnership will take direct action to support the economy, business and the individual. This will include:
- Helping existing businesses to grow and innovate
- Bringing new businesses into the county
- Ensuring the right infrastructure is in place
- Improving Northamptonshire’s skills base and education
- Supporting social enterprise
- Promoting Northamptonshire as a place of prosperity
Championing Northamptonshire as a Business destination
The Partnership will continue to develop and strengthen the county’s proposition for new investment by UK and overseas owned businesses with a particular focus on the Engine of Growth and Logistics sectors.
Providing a strong ‘front of house’ enquiry response point for Northamptonshire, the Partnership will also continue to build and develop a ‘virtual sales team’ of Ambassadors and other partners to assist with the strong presentation of Northamptonshire and its offer.
Inward Investment and International Trade
The Partnership will undertake a range of marketing and communications activities; at events, through the media, and via the web to support the generation of new leads and new business interest in the county.
Collaboration with partners and in particular with the established group of Northamptonshire Ambassadors will be key. The Partnership will also establish a strong working relationship with the new UK Trade and Investment sponsored approach to handling Foreign Direct Investment and establish a strong Northamptonshire representation within this new activity.
The Partnership will work with local business to pursue international links for the county focused on trade and investment opportunities, outside of Europe with a small group of target locations in India, China and other leading and emerging economies.
