The RTP Fellowship is offering places on a special, no cost Sustainable Leadership programme for early to mid-career managers who live and work within a 50 miles radius of Milton Keynes and who are currently aspiring to move into senior leadership roles, have budgetary responsibilities and lead people and are motivated to build great communities.
The programme will bring together a small group of leaders from across all sectors to work together to support a number of charitable projects of their choosing to become more sustainable – hence the programme’s name. At the same time, we will run reflective learning sessions that allow them to distil and share the insights they gain from supporting their chosen projects, contextualise those personal insights against current best practice and leadership theory, and explore how they can apply what they have learned in their own workplaces.
What happens on the programme?
The programme starts with us getting to know you and the challenges you are facing so that we can understand what will make a good programme for you. To add to that picture, we’ll also ask you to complete some psychometric questionnaires. We will use all of this information to help shape the programme.
Once we have spoken to all of you, we’ll run the first workshop which will last for two days. At this first event, we will introduce you to your fellow participants, start to build you as a team, and agree how we are going to work. Crucially, this is also the time when you will decide which projects and charities you want to support and gain their agreement.
Although the final content will be informed by what we learn from you in our interviews, the remaining five one-day workshop modules will each focus on a specific dimension of leadership:
On completion of all five modules, we’ll meet one last time to review what you have done and celebrate what you have achieved.
So what’s the catch?
There is no catch. All you have to do is commit to participating fully in the programme over the 12 months for which it runs. This means you must:
To help make sure it happens, we will ask you for a refundable deposit of £300 when you accept a place on the programme. This will be returned on successful completion. And that’s it.
If so, get in touch. Simply send us a one-page application letter with a recent photo. In your letter, we need just three short paragraphs that tell us:
