With the Spring issue of NEP’s education & business magazine, The Link, out now, NEP’s Education/Business team are on the road in Northamptonshire to promote the importance of connecting schools with the real world of business and commerce.
Helping to enable companies invest in future skills both in the short and long-term, the national rollout of the Enterprise Advisers scheme (based on NEP’s original pilot model) has meant that NEP has been able to invite more Northamptonshire schools, business advisers and Inspirers to join the programme.
A strong voice
Through NEP’s local employment and skills development strategy, local businesses and education providers have a strong voice in the development of a bespoke Northamptonshire programme which aims to ensure that the right balance of contributions between employers and education are in place at every level.
The National Careers Service Inspiration contract for example has brokered over 300 activities in schools between businesses representatives and young people.
The support you need
As part of the second phase of the Enterprise Advisers programme, NEP is now recruiting more Northamptonshire professionals across a range of sectors to become Inspirers in schools.
It is providing a matching facility to make links between education and business a simple and effective process which is being further streamlined so that businesses large and small can more easily plan how and when they offer their support.
