The first annual Northamptonshire Logistics Awards competition was launched at the beginning of March and the deadline for applications is now one week away: Tuesday 29 March 2016.
Designed to celebrate the achievements of individuals and teams working in the sector locally, the Awards are a platform for the industry’s diversity and excellence, and will also provide a showcase for the sector’s future workforce locally, encouraging young people currently deciding on their future careers to consider logistics as an option.
There are seven awards in total, and today Charlotte Patrick, Business Growth Manager at NEP, announced that Kuehne + Nagel will sponsor the Young Person of the Year category. Charlotte commented:
“This award is open to apprentices, trainees, young professionals and business owners aged 25 or under on 1 January 2016. The judging panel will be looking for entrepreneurial skills or the ability to work collaboratively within the business and to make a significant contribution either to their employer of the wider business community.”
“Its fantastic to have Kuehne and Nagel on board. We are looking forward very much to celebrating, with their support, the excellent contribution young people are making to Northamptonshire’s logistics sector.”
Finalists in all categories will be announced on 31 March 2016 at the Northamptonshire Logistics Forum.
A Northamptonshire Logistics Awards Dinner will be held on 20 April 2016, courtesy of John Lewis. Tables will be available for booking from 1 April onwards.
