Jo Lappin joined NEP on 2nd December 2013.
Mrs. Lappin joins NEP from the Cheshire and Warrington LEP bringing with her significant experience in economics, infrastructure and regeneration. As Interim Strategy Director she developed Cheshire and Warrington’s response to the Heseltine review, working closely with the Local Authorities and LEP Board to agree a joint vision for growth, and developing the strategies and delivery arrangements to make this happen.
Her experience will be important to NEP as it embarks on developing its growth plans to secure local, national and European investment to help the Northamptonshire economy to go further, faster.
Jo was previously Head of Strategy for Cheshire West and Chester Council, where she played a key role in developing West Cheshire’s national Community Budget pilot, which looked to deliver more efficient and effective public services for residents and businesses.
Prior to joining the Council, Jo was Deputy Regional Director in Government Office North West (GONW) where she was responsible for housing, transport, planning and delivery of the two largest European-funded regeneration programmes in the country. During her career she has been involved in all aspects of government’s policy agenda.
